Euclyptus Wood
Eucalyptus is recognized as a non-tropical hardwood and is very dense and very durable. We use only the best quality eucalyptus and we always KILN DRY our wood prior to the construction of our furniture. If it is not kiln dried... it won't last. Eucalyptus has a life expectancy up to 12 years if left untreated and up to 50 years if treated. In comparison to teak, it is almost twice as dense and an ideal choice alternative. Eucalyptus yields a warm unique reddish-brown color and is moderately heavy. Which makes it ideal for outdoor furniture. In cost comparison it is less expensive than teak due to the fact that it is imported from Belize rather than Indonesia. Our Eucalyptus products are machine made rather than hand made which also keeps the cost down and the product itself more precise. All hardware is solid brass and the wood is factory drilled. This is a great teak alternative for product cost without sacrifice!
Are less expensive items in the range as good quality as the more expensive?
Generally price is dictated by the shape and weight of a piece of furniture. The more shape a piece has, the more wood is required to make it along with taking more time to create. Also the heavier the sections of wood used means more weight and thus more cost. No matter which piece of furniture you choose, you can be assured that the same quality teak and standard of workmanship is used along with the same methods of manufacture and assembly.
